WATCH OUT CHERYL JHEEZE....

I've never written a post on the X Factor ever. Thing is, it's something I'd never think of doing, until today. Okay, you might think I've strayed away to profitable persuasion and addiction that is reality TV, but I haven't. This is a music blog, my music blog, and I like to report on new, undiscovered talent.

Cher Lloyd, the 16 year old teen from Malvern, Worcester, is new, and recently discovered talent.

Honestly, if you haven't seen X Factor recently, and haven't seen her performance, you missed out on it so much. She had her own style to singing, own style to fashion, and at the age of 16, she's already got tattoos on her, just like Cheryl Cole. Actually, she is like Cheryl Cole, or shall I say, Cheryl Tweedy, seeing as her divorce just recently came through.

But yeah, after her audition singing "Turn My Swagger On" by Soulja Boy in the style of Keri Hilson, you could tell she had the swagger and confidence. It was madness, Cheryl's face was so unique, it's like she just met her competition.

Seriously, if she won X Factor, Cheryl would be out of business. No joke, in fact, look at her at the end of the video I'm going to attach. It's like she just had her house robbed.

So yeah, she's got an amazing voice, and left Simon speechless. I can bet a tenner with whoever was with him the rest of the day, that he had a hard on. In fact, if you're reading this Simon, you might wanna accidentally stroll over to her Bebo here, and look through her album. I can't attach pictures for privacy reasons, but I'm sure you can attach them to your Documents folder Simon ;)

Anyways, I'll let you have a look at the audition. Cheryl, watch your back, Cher will be your main competitor if she wins.

That's all of X Factor posts from me I hope....unless someone comes on to provide vocals to a Dubstep beat, then I'll be on it like a fire in a forest.

KIDS ARE TAKING OVER!!!....

Remember I said in my Mashed Up GCSE Results Rave review at how children are being influenced by young artists, making them potential producers? Well, after digging through YouTube, I found this video of this 11 year old kid making a live Drum and Bass demo, simply by improvising using Ableton Live Basics.

As you can see, he had MIDI equipment and USB interfaces, so it is all proper gear, that regular artists would use. For all you audio geeks and DJ's, I'm sure you are aware of the "modulator" on a MIDI interface? Well this kid is too, and he sure does know how to create a deep flange effect to the beat.

I'm gonna catch an early night, because I'm heading out to France for the day, hence me scrolling around YouTube killing time, and finding this jokes video. Yeah, there are a bit of random hiccups in his composition, but go easy on him, he's 11. Give him a couple of years and I'm sure he'd make a killer track.

Here's the video, his older brother is the cameraman. I'm actually laughing at how the cameraman tries to make his younger brother look like he's playing at a rave by adding video effects.  Got to admit it though, from 0:18 up to like 1:35, the beat is heavy!

Peace out.

RYDER DJ PODCAST (SEPT. EDITION)...

You lot all ready for another mix? A little break of posting dubstep mixes from me, this post is strictly floorfiller. Ridwan Koodruth, also known as Ryder DJ is back with another of his monthly podcasts featuring some of the most iconic songs of the century, remixed with a twist to give it that extra flair.

With tracks like Lady Gaga's Alejandro remixed and also the 80s Electronic group Eurythmics, who is lead by 80s queen Annie Lennox, remixed with Busta Rhymes throwing in a little vocals in their track "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)", this edition of the Ryder DJ Podcast is definitely going to get you rocking to the beat.

The Watford DJ simply couldn't ignore the fact that Dubstep is the next big thing, so he had to conclude the September podcast on a high with Magnetic Man's "I Need Air". Beautiful track, accompanying a beautiful tracklisting too.

Oh yeah, iTunes 10 got released this morning, and so did the whole fresh range of iPods. How about you spice your music collection up by subscribing to his series of podcasts by clicking here!

Me being very kind, I've decided to embed it right here on the post, so you can enjoy it in the background too.

Big up's to Ridwan and I'm looking forward to more of your podcasts mate. You're so punctual with them, never ten minutes after midnight on the 1st of every month. It's awesome man, keep it up!

Also, another big up to Akash Kamboj Photography for letting me use their image of Ridwan. Both YetAnotherBlogspot and Akash Kamboj Photography will be collaborating at events in the future, make sure you check us out!

Enjoy the music! And a tracklisting is here too if you find something you like, there won't be anything stopping you from finding the name of it!

Peace JB xx

GET DARKER PRESENTS.....

Well the time has come. We've all heard GetDarker's amazing debut to the Dance Charts on iTunes, with their first compilation "This is Dubstep Vol.1" cracking the top 30, and then their mind blowing second compilation "This is Dubstep Vol.2" cracking the top 20 barrier.
And now the crew are back, with another, exhilirating 2 CD's of sub-exploding bass. This...is....Dubstep. Volume 3!

By looking at the tracklisting, you can tell it's going to be another shocker. the GetDarker crew have really done it this time, and are aiming higher everytime. Featuring tracks from huge Dubstep producers such as Caspa, Nero, Emalkay, and the legend himself, Benga, it is one album not to miss this Autumn.

I remember buying Volume 2, I was the first one in my local HMV, HMV Hammersmith, to get it. Fresh out of the cardboard box, I remember seeing the yellow awesomeness and I could hear the CD begging for my CD Player and Amplifier like a crack addict shaking for another fix. And as I took it home, I knew that £8.99 I spent was worth every penny. The bass from my speakers was mad, I literally had a second fan because of all the air my speakers were pumping.

By looking at the tracklisting on this volume, I can tell my speakers are going to carry on being a fan. I might as well just take off the "Mission" badge and replace it with "Air Conditioning" instead!

WHO THE F**K IS THIS EXAMPLE GUY?...

If you're reading this, I bet you know who is Example is. He's the current chart topping musical manic to is dominating the Dance charts and every girls' iPod. His music is amazing, no doubt about it, especially tracks like "Hooligans" with Dan Diablo, and also the romance tune of the year "Kickstarts".

The Fulham-born rapper really has come far, yet everyone thinks he is new to the music industry. When actually, he's been rapping for quite some time, seven years even.

"What?" I hear you call, "When did he rap?" is what you ask. To answer all your questions, "thehouseofcoxhead.com" decided to compile a 'Greatest Hits' compilation with all of his best songs from 2003 to 2009. You need to hear songs such as "Vile", "Posh Birds"and "You Can't Rap", it's literally rap with a comical twist. Pure British Talent. Especially in Posh Birds when he goes on about how rich girls are better in bed. It makes me laugh all the time on the train when I listen to it.

It is UK Rap at it's best. But it isn't grime, but that's good. Example has his own flair to rap compared to others. And that's what makes his lyrics different from everyone else. It's definitely worth a listen. Or maybe it's just me seeing as I was born in Fulham and love a little big up from home turf.

Still, it's worth a listen. It's nice to know how Gleave has come from rapping small time, to grabbing a recording studio, up to now topping the charts on iTunes. This download I'm attaching has full coverage of the best music he has made over the past seven years. Make sure you check it out.

1. Example - Eyeballs Painted Black (Feat. The Rolling Stones)

FUSED FORCES...

Alright, so I was online one day and I was recommended by a friend of mines, Bam, and she told me about Fused Forces. I never was familiar with the name before, but after finding out that two of their songs, "Henry", and "Chemical Reaction" were on the This Is Dubstep Volume 2 compilation, it immediately gave me that "Oh I know them!" type of moment.

The duo from Essex make cold, raw Dubstep. That's what I like to call it. It's the type of Dubstep that doesn't have much sounds in it. It's got a bassline, a snare, and the odd synth or two, and that's it. Hold the thought, just because it doesn't have much sound doesn't mean it doesn't live up to its name. Oh no. In fact, less is better with Fused Forces.

Their track "Henry" is a wicked example. There's a point where there's only three different sounds playing, yet the ambience of the quirky VST makes me put my fingers in the air and it turns me into an orchestral conductor. It's simple, yet stunning.

You can visit Fused Forces' MySpace here. They also have a Twitter too, so you can follow them by clicking here.

In fact, if you haven't already, listen to "Henry" underneath. I can almost guarantee your back will be swaying back and forth to the beat like someone with mental issues. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that, but that's what my Dad said when he walked in when I was listening to it. HAHAHAHA!

Peace JB xx
